Are Portable Hyperbaric Chambers Safe?

Portable hyperbaric chambers are completely safe. The chamber operates with filtered ambient air (surrounding room air), therefore there is no danger of oxygen toxicity in the body which can occur with other hyperbaric oxygen chambers which utilize an oxygen tank. Mild hyperbaric therapy (mHBOT or mHBT) can safely be used in conjunction with nearly all other treatments. However, it is important to remember to consult your physician before starting any new therapy.
Should you rent or invest a hyperbaric portable chamber?
A portable chamber in your home is the best solution. A portable hyperbaric chamber is incredibly convenient. With a home chamber, you can fit your treatments into your busy schedule at times of the day that are best for you and your family. You can use your chamber for unlimited treatments for as many months or years as needed for one price. The number of treatments you might be able to schedule means more likelihood your child’s symptoms will improve faster.When you have completed your treatments, you may sell your chamber for close to what you paid for it, due to the high demand for portable chambers.
Decide what you want to use your hyperbaric chamber for. These chambers are limited to very specific uses. Talk with your doctor to clarify whether one is appropriate for your needs. Be very clear about why you are using it and get specifications about the pressurization you will need.
Hyperbaric chambers are tightly enclosed spaces in which the internal pressure is raised above the normal atmospheric pressure. Hyperbaric chambers can provide oxygen therapy for several medical issues, including decompression sickness, healing wounds, soft tissue infections and burns.
They are also being used to treat symptoms of autism and diabetic illnesses.
Portable chambers called "mild chambers" are available commercially for home treatment. Cost is a big issue, however it s not the only one. Just like purchasing a new or used car; factors like safety, warranty, extended warranty, and customer service come into play. Fact is, you can always get a better price ... will you have gotten a better deal?
The prospect of slowing or reversing aging is one big draw. Others hope the little extra air pressure and oxygen a chamber provides can cure their cancer or some other chronic disease. In recent years, a growing number of parents have sought hyperbaric therapy to treat their children's autism or cerebral palsy.
Regardless of your personal reasons for seeking out hyperbaric therapies and your decision to purchase a portable mild hyperbaric chamber; one thing is for certain Cost comes in to play. Is cost the only thing we should be concerned with when researching manufacturers and the units available for home and office use? Certainly not!
Maybe your doctor recommended HBOT because he’s seen how much it’s helped his other patients. However, you don’t want to be inconvenienced by daily trips to a clinic that is far from your home, and you don’t want to spend tens of thousands of dollars on treatments with nothing to show for it.
